At only 26 years of age and with two albums to her credit already, the captivating Acadian singer-songwriter, now based in Montreal, has been touring with her musicians for 5 years. Her touching, heart-rending songs, inspired by heartache and friendship, are reminiscent of the unique writing of Courtney Barnett and Karen Dalton. On her album Why You Wanna Leave, Runaway Queen? this modern-day nomad draws on old time, Cajun and bluegrass sounds. Combining classic rock, blues and western folk, Lisa LeBlanc is more creative than ever and proves that she’s blossomed since her rallying cry Aujourd’hui, ma vie c’est d’la marde.
