Après la sortie d’une première chanson en 2009, Philippe Garceau nomme son projet The Bright Road. Ce n'est qu'à la sortie du premier album « Norway » que le groupe prend son envol. Quelque temps après le lancement, le tout premier vidéoclip s'est vu attribué le « Video of the Month » sur le site Web de la radio Jango. L'automne dernier, le groupe faisait partie, à sa grande surprise, des 11 groupes sélectionnés sur 175 au festival Indie Week à Toronto. La chanson « Tu Muerte » joue régulièrement sur les ondes d’Espace Musique de Radio-Canada. À la fin de l'hiver, le groupe entamera sa première tournée dans l'est du Canada et des États-Unis.
