Louis-Jean Cormier greatly simplified things to record his first album far from the Karkwa clan. “Le treizième étage” stands out from Karkwa albums by the spareness of the arrangements and the intimate tone used by the musician from Sept-Îles, Quebec. The result is one of the greatest Quebec albums of 2012.

Now we wonder how this folk pop gem will play out on stage. Knowing Louis-Jean Cormier’s skills, we trust it’ll be terrific.
