After a successful debut with the group Plywood ¾, Dany Placard decided to tell more personal stories using his own name and to set them to rock, folk and country arrangements. Between two solo projects, he collaborated with friends (Carl-Éric Hudon in 2007 and Francis Toots Macbeth in 2009) and was producer for young artists like Chantal Archambault and Francis Faubert.
We like Dany Placard for his authenticity and because he doesn’t hesitate to bare his soul onstage—something that closes the gap between him and his fans.
