MGMT resulted from the collaboration of American musicians Benjamin Goldwasser and Andrew Van Wyngarden. They created a buzz with the release of “Oral Spectacular” in 2007. Their electro-psychedelic pop soon conquered critics, who immediately saw in MGMT a potential heir to groups Flaming Lips and Mercury Rev.
This concert on the Plains for MGMT’s Quebec fans is eagerly anticipated for two reasons: On top of seeing their favourite group for the first time in Quebec City, they’ll also discover songs from the group’s new album, scheduled for release in June.
