A Tribe Called Red aptly illustrates the chameleon-like qualities of electronic music.
The members of the Ottawa-based trio, Shub, Bear Witness and NDN, are the monthly hosts of “Electric Powwow” nights, to promote First Nations club culture. It’s at these events that they refined the art of “powwow step,” a mashup of traditional aboriginal vocals, electro and hip hop.
So Place d’Youville will be the setting for the first-ever Quebecois Electric Powwow!
