The synths of this Montreal electronic music trio bring to mind the new wave and synth pop periods of the 1980s. Did they not recently produce the single “Molly,” as in Molly Ringwald, the star of teen movies in the 80s?
Many Quebeckers discovered Le Matos through its collaborations with Cœur de pirate. And the American public recently discovered them when the group was part of the FEQ showcase at the last South by Southwest Festival, where it played some numbers from its new album, “Join Us.”
