In 2009 Skillet’s album “Awake” was number one on Billboard magazine’s Modern Rock/Alternative chart. The album went platinum in 2012. The Memphis band has earned its success: in 17 years, Skillet has produced 11 solid albums and toured almost constantly, building a huge army of fans.
Skillet is set to celebrate its achievements in 2013 with a new album, “Rise,” and a mega-tour that will roll onto the Plains in July. Fans of Guns N’ Roses will be in good hands.
