Smashed
Combining precise juggling techniques with theatrics, this ensemble from London pays tribute to the great German dancer Pina Bausch. Onstage, nine virtuoso jugglers transpose the principle of choreographed dance theatre to juggling theatre. Composed of tableaux vivants in the manner of old photographs that recall wars, tense relations and love and innocence lost, Smashed invites spectators to a highly emotional performance.
