Steve Hill ne fait pas que revisiter le blues. Il le mélange avec à peu près toutes ses influences, soit rock'n'roll, folk ou country, et ce avec une saveur intemporelle. Quinze ans après son premier album, on y entend une maturité seulement possible après des années d'expérience. Il est sans contredit un grand guitariste, mais aussi un chanteur qui chante avec ses tripes et un excellent auteur-compositeur.
