Imagine about thirty Australian musicians revisiting the golden age of ska with all the enthusiasm and panache of a full orchestra. This is the main mission of the Melbourne Ska Orchestra and lead singer Nick Bomba (Bomba, John Butler Trio, Bustamento). An imposing brass and percussion section and a few singers make up this brigade, which has already acquired an stellar reputation on their travels. Lots of fun, but also a celebration of calypso, reggae, and the most festive jazz around.
