From St-Ferréol-les-Neiges, Safia Nolin made a big detour to Granby before winding up at the Imperial in July. She won the SOCAN song writing prize for her composition “Igloo", recorded with the collaboration of Philippe Brault and Rick Haworth. The Québec City audience also got to see her when she opened for Basia Bulat last October. They discovered an artist with a unique voice who’s still got a lot more surprises in store for us.
