When Erika and Simon Angell met by chance on a European tour with their respective bands, their love at first sight was as musical as it was romantic. The Swedish singer and Patrick Watson’s guitarist immediately laid the groundwork for Thus Owls: pop that’s both cerebral and sensitive, unleashing the experimental aspirations of its two leaders. Québec liked the approach, so here they are for a second visit to the Festival.
