Sean Paul

Jamaican superstar Sean Paul recently released his highly anticipated sixth studio album, Full Frequency, in February on Atlantic/VP Records. The first of the albums songs, “Other Side Of Love,”, is an up-tempo track exploring complications in relationships that hit iTunes on June 10th internationally and June 11th in the US. Co-produced by super producer Benny Blanco and the Cataracs, the song was the first taste of Full Frequency and was quickly followed by the club banger “Entertainment” featuring 2Chainz & Juicy J and “Entertainment 2.0” also featuring Nicki Minaj. Sean Paul also teamed up with Damian Marley for “Riot,” an energetic track that includes infusions of dancehall, hip-hop and EDM. The first official single off the album is “WANT DEM ALL” featuring Konshens.

“Other Side of Love,” “Riot” and “Entertainment” follow Sean Paul’s most recent release, Tomahawk Technique, which was released throughout various international territories in 2012, including the US in September, to rave reviews. Continuing Sean’s history of crafting hit records, the album was anchored by Sean’s singles, ”Got 2 Luv U” ft. Alexis Jordan, which became a Top Ten hit in eight countries, reaching Number One in France and receiving Gold or Platinum status in five, as well as the infectious anthem, ”She Doesn’t Mind” and the Kelly Rowland assisted ”How Deep Is Your Love”. The collection featured production from industry heavyweights like Benny Blanco (Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Wiz Khalifa, Ke$ha), Rico Love (Natasha Bedingfield, Nelly, Diddy, Usher) and Stargate (Rihanna, Ne-Yo, Chris Brown).

Armed with a new look and an energized passion for music, the past year has produced a creative outburst from Sean, as his emergence as a producer, helming the track “Roll Wid Di Don” on Tomahawk Technique and working with artists like Cecile, Tami Chynn, Mr. Vegas, Wayne Marshall on his critically acclaimed Riddim album “Blaze Fia” and it’s follow up “Material,” has been matched by a stream of new music and collaborations with artists including Pitbull, T-Pain, Ludacris, Bob Sinclar, CongoRock, Mya and Kelly Rowland. After a brief hiatus from performing, Sean Paul came back onto the scene with an international summer tour visiting Portugal, Rome, Naples, Cape Verde, Ibiza, Germany, London (for the One Love Peace Festival), Bristol, South Cyprus and Canada. Never one to stay inactive, Sean has performed in over 100 countries.

“Other Side of Love” and “Entertainment 2.0” are the next steps in Sean’s continual pop dominance, the first offerings off of Full Frequency, which will join a wave of classic albums that includes the multi-platinum, Grammy-winning classic Dutty Rock and the platinum smash The Trinity, alongside Stage One, Imperial Blaze and Tomahawk Technique. With an undeniable track record for crafting hit singles as a solo artist, including cuts like “Get Busy,” “Gimme The Light,” “Like Glue,” “We Be Burnin’” and “Temperature,” as well as a history of taking other artists’ songs to the next level through tracks like Beyonce’s “Baby Boy,” Jay Sean’s “Do You Remember” and Eve’s “Give It To You,” Sean Paul has established himself as one of the seminal pop voices of his generation. These successes have earned him a plethora of awards including the 2006 American Music Award for Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist.
