The Look – Jacques Greene is, at just 21 years of age, a prodigy and a rising star on the international electronic scene. The Montreal producer delivers energetic and deep house, with great samples of female voices, UK garage and R’n’B influences to a dubstep background, in a style that recalls Burial, Pangaea, or Ramadanman. Greene is one of a promising new generation of Montreal artists, along with Lunice et Ango – also on
LuckyMe, and who share the stage at Red Bull Music Academy events– who are influenced more by hip-hop and the Brits than by techno, and who break through musical barriers to redefine the horizons of Montreal sound. Source: MUTEK 2011
