Born into a family of Casamance griots, kora player Maher Cissoko carries on a centuries-old tradition with touching sincerity. Sousou was born in Sweden and later moved to Gambia. Sharing a passion for the kora and the rich Mandingo heritage, Sousou and Maher are a couple in every sense of the word, both in real life and on stage. Two instruments that respond to each other with a spell-binding affinity.
