Directly connected to the resurgence of post-punk at the beginning of the millennium, Interpol walked straight through the front door in 2002 with its first album, Turn on the Bright Lights. Pitchfork, the reference for independent music, had already crowned it best album of the year. Since then, the New York band has been reigning over the world indie scene, creating a stir with the release of each album. El Pintor, their latest, demonstrates that Interpol has no intention of stepping aside anytime soon.
