Combining the influences of Mediterranean, North-African and Maghrebian music, this ultra-blended sextet plays blues-rock, flamenco, and dub. Without losing a beat in the mix, guitarist and leader Abouabdelmajid seems to serve up the sound of the entire Mediterranean through his multi-facetted music. Winner of the Diversity Prize from Conseil des arts de Montréal, Ayrad drives home a fiery hybrid complaint.
