Before Judas Priest, before Iron Maiden, before Metallica, there was Deep Purple. With Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, this legendary band laid the foundation of a genre – heavy metal – which took the world by storm in the late 1970s. But more than for the power of its music, the British band has always been known for the subtlety of its approach and the virtuosity of its musicians. Today, more than 45 years after its birth, the purple machine continues on with a still formidable line-up: Ian Gillan on vocals, Steve Morse on guitar, Roger Glover on bass, Ian Paice on drums and Don Airey on keyboards. Get ready for some high-flying rock.
