Mentioned among artists who have greatly contributed to reviving socially conscious reggae, Protoje has released three studio albums so far, all well received by critics and reggae fans alike. His latest album, Ancient Future, climbed to the top of Billboard charts and includes the huge success Who Knows, a duo with Chronixx. On Ancient Future, Protoje quenches our thirst with urban-flavoured reggae that also draws on the 1970s and 1980s, while being heavily influenced by hip hop.
