Influenced by Bert Jansch and John Fahey, Steve Dawson is a voice established in roots music tending towards jazz, as well as blues and country. For the past ten years or so, this Juno-winning guitarist has been invited to many jazz festivals (from Monterey to Montréal). He comes to Festival d’été de Québec in trio formula for a performance that draws on a unique kind of playing, where emotion and soulfulness recall the acoustic blues of Ry Cooder.
