A member of Split Enz before forming Crowded House, over the years this singer-songwriter has become an undisputed goldsmith of the most elegant pop ever. From “I Got You” to “Don’t Dream It’s Over”, the New Zealander has a real flair for catchy melodies. Since he’s gone solo, his taste for orchestration and suave ballads have made him an artist recognized by his peers (from Eddie Vedder to Sheryl Crow). In recent years he wrote “Song of the Lonely Mountain”, on the original soundtrack of The Hobbit.
