Discovered with the release of her superb debut album, La Mal Lunée (2012), which took her a long way on the Francophone music scene, garnering accolades and a string of festival performances and appearances, Sarah Toussaint-Léveillé came back strong with the launch of her second album in 2016. Co-produced with Socalled, La Mort Est Un Jardin Secret unveils folk with accents of jazz, featuring stringed instruments. The album exudes softness, supported by delicate instrumentation and the charming voice of the young singer-songwriter, whose evocative poetry is a little more intimate on this album.
