A native of Texas, relocated to Lousiana, renowned accordionist Corey Ledet has always been immersed in the Creole culture, which he tries to incorporate into every aspect of his life. Though he has one foot solidly anchored in tradition, the musician likes to experiment with other influences to avoid monotony. His latest album, Standing on Faith (2017), features a contemporary version of zydeco, a typically Lousiana style, intertwined with the warm groove of soul and R ‘n B.
