Mixing the sounds of shoegaze, indie-pop and slightly twisted hip hop beats, Phantogram materialized at the beginning of the decade with the release of their first album Eyelid Movies (2010) followed by the EP Nightlife (2011). Long-time friends who are passionate about underground music, Sarah Bartel and Josh Carter have enjoyed a rapid rise to the top of the modern sonic movement, garnering attention from fans all over America and Europe, as well as collaborating artists such as Flaming Lips and Big Boi. The duo’s new songs are positioned somewhere between elegant pop, electro soul and futuristic urban hip hop.
