As their name suggests, The Dirty Nil doesn’t go for subtleties. Nominated for a 2017 Juno award in the category of Breakthrough of the Year, the Ontario trio captures the spirit of grunge, garage rock, punk and pop to create their own sound. The result is disconcertingly effective. With sharp melodies, the rock of Dirty Nil is a little like Weezer in maxi-decibel mode. On stage, this young band sandblasts the stage with raw energy that fans of abrasive music will love.
