Led by the excellent singer Lee-La Baum, Montréal band The Damn Truth comes to the Festival to “rock” the stage with their passionate and exciting music. Lee-La’s powerful smoldering voice combined with the band’s vintage sound works like a time-travel machine, taking us back to the 60s and 70s. The band’s latest album, Devilish Folk (2016), is a worthy successor to Dear in the Headlights (2013) and continues in the same tradition: hot and captivating blues rock that is sure to leave its mark on the international scene.
