The Dizzy Brains is a wild quartet founded in Madagascar in 2011 by two brothers, Eddy (singer) and Mahefa (bass), and rounded out with Poun on guitar and Mirana on drums. They are in their early twenties and rock‘n roll is in their blood, along with the rakish attitude. Inspired by Velvet Underground, The Sonics and other Howlin’ Wolfs of the world, they sing about the harsh reality of Malagasy life and denounce the injustice and violence of their homeland, against a background of gale-force rock that will blow you away.
