After literally conquering Québec audiences with his first production, comedian/garage mechanic Marcel Leclerc is back at Le Cabaret du Capitole. Appearing once again from his garage, he will take you deep into the 70s, a time when there were no laws in effect to protect consumers from greedy and less-than-honest merchants, including auto service garage operators. He shares the stage with Simon-Pierre Gariépy, Frédérique Bradet, Mathieu Letendre, as well as Nadia Thomassin and his two daughters, Jessie and Amélie Leclerc. Marcel has a very special show in store for you with his new comedy act entitled Marcel au Garage 1970.
A total of 14 characters, each one funnier than the last, parade on stage throughout this hilarious comedy. Customers, neighbours, salespersons and mechanics, not all among the most above board, take turns sending you into fits of laughter, again and again. In a stage set that is a reflection of his every day life - cars, tools and garage equipment - Marcel tells stories through his many characters that include several juicy and savoury anecdotes. Once again, our mechanic steps up to the challenge of wearing many hats, as he single-handedly takes on writing, producing and directing duties!
It should be noted that this one-man show is the achievement of a lifetime dream for our home-grown storyteller. With his second production, the famed mechanic provides young comedians with an opportunity to fulfill their aspirations. The three actors who support him throughout this new adventure were selected during public auditions held on September 15, 2009.
