Her short stint on La Voix 2015 gave the Québec public a chance to discover Marianne Poirier, and gave the artist a chance to discover herself and her urgent desire to pursue a career in the performing arts. This audiovisual springboard gave her the opportunity to show one side her personality, but to reveal the true reach of her talent, Marianne Poirier, now known under the name of L i l a, hurried to make her first mini-album featuring both French and English songs. The young singer-songwriter’s melancholic acoustic/electric folk is as refreshing as a soft autumn rain.
