The phenomenon of Phoenix and their delectably rhythmical pop first took off in Anglo-Saxon countries. Influenced by music of the 1970s and 1980s, the band gained notoriety when filmmaker Sophia Coppola used two of their singles, If I Ever Feel Better and Too Young, on the soundtrack of her cult movie Lost In Translation. The album Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, produced by Philippe Zdar, shot straight to number 14 on the list of best-selling albums in France. The quartet’s electronic bent is confirmed by a tribute to the Italian-disco wave on Ti Amo. A trendy sound that makes us feel the season will never end.
