The mind-blowing Belgian pop band, Girls in Hawaii, is just getting started. The band’s two songwriters, Lionel Vancauwenberghe and Antoine Wielemans, sing English lyrics on an indie-rock musical background with influences of Radiohead and Depeche Mode. On their latest album, Nocturne, the Brussels quintet offers sensitive, melodic electro-pop that feels optimistic with a just a touch of positive sadness. A concentrate of pure emotion.
