After an experimental debut, on her latest album, In A Poem Unlimited, American-born, Toronto-based Meg Ramy is moving closer to pop, soul, disco, and glam rock. Signed with the mythical 4AD label (Cocteau Twins, Pixies, Bon Iver), the US project is like a feminist pamphlet combining politics and social commentary in songs with undeniably accessible melodies. A patchwork of influences that stands on its own with fluidity and remarkable ease.
