At the age of 69, the Malian singer extends an invitation to the young rap generation on his new album, Un autre blanc, with winks to afro-trap, while staying loyal to his African roots. Besides calling on Guinean and Senegalese rapper MHD, the great Salif also performs with none other than Nigerian star Yemi Alade on the single Diarawa Fa. Far from the time when he played in the clubs of Bamako, Keita's aura now shines beyond music, notably in his defense of the albino cause. After five decades of in the business, this Prince of Mandingo music still has much more to say.
