The Scratchophone Orchestra was created in the summer of 2015. Within 20 days they had composed their first 10 songs in preparation for a debut concert. As the story goes, the band got the contract through pure bluster, not yet having decided on a name for the band or composed any songs. Tunes cut from the raw material of 1930s swing, melded with the current electro-swing trend, now replaying the most danceable rhythms of the previous century in this one. A modern offering with vintage charm.
