Formed in 1982 in Jonquiere, Voivod is the first Canadian progressive speed metal band to be exported outside the country's borders, doing back-to-back world tours to every continent. After nearly 30 years in the business and with a rich discography of fourteen studio albums, their reputation is well established due to their technically perfect music and lyrics that voyagel between post-apocalyptic and science fiction. The band was awarded the Juno for metal/hard rock album of the year last March.
