Founded in 1981 and made up today of James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo, Metallica has sold over 100 million albums and has earned 9 Grammy Awards. In addition to that, the band got the honour of being named MTV Rock Icons in 2003 and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009.
The Festival d'été de Québec advises parents who plan to bring children under 12 to the Metallica concert to go to the Screen Zone, located behind the scène Bell, for their safety. Only children 12 and older who have a Hydro-Québec pass will be allowed in front of the stage.
