Les Productions Juste pour rire proudly presents the irreverent Crazy Horse Paris on its fi rst North American tour. The most avant-garde cabaret in Paris will fi rst take Quebec by storm at Le Capitole in Quebec City from June 20-24. Then it's off to the Casino du Lac Leamy in Gatineau, June 29, 30 and July 2-4. To crown the inaugural Canadian trip, the perfectly shaped forms of this elite seductive troupe will fi ll Theatre du Nouveau Monde in Montreal, July 9-13.
Forever Crazy presents ten magnifi cent, multicultural, classically trained female dancers outfi tted solely in rays of light in a cheeky series of sparkling, astonishing, and glamorous scenes. Forever Crazy was designed as a tribute to the founder of the Crazy Horse, Alain Bernardin. The show, created under the artistic direction of Quebecer Dick Walsh, preserves his artistic heritage while at the same time adding a modern touch along with humour and sophistication. Among the different numbers that make up the show are some iconic classics from the Crazy Horse's repertory as well as some new works by the French choreographer Philippe Decouflé. Mr. Walsh was the force behind such memorable events as the annual ball at the Montreal Museum of Contemporary Art, the ball at the Guggenheim Museum in New York, and the marriage of singer Celine Dion. At the Crazy Horse, he took on the challenge of staging a Paris show more glamorous and sparkling than anyone could wish for, delivering a display of fi nesse and high creative intelligence. Forever Crazy is a 90-minute pageant that lies somewhere between high art and entertainment. The show is a unique combination of beauty, gracefulness, passion and precise movement. Richly coloured textures of light envelop the dancers so wonderfully that one can hardly distinguish where the dancers' skin ends and the refl ected light begins. The result is a unique experience that captivates sight and mind in equal measure.
