Brad and Andrew Barr left their native Rhode Island for Montreal in 2005, where they met the harpist, Sarah Pagé, and the multi-instrumentalist, Andres Vial, who took the duo's compositions into uncharted territory.
The Barr Brothers' Americana folk draws from other musical traditions, including Mississippi Delta and West African music, to forge its identity. And it works, because their self-titled debut album was released last year to popular and critical acclaim... and got them a spot on the David Letterman show last January!
