Seldom has a Québec indie rock band generated so much buzz. Even before its first album came out, Half Moon Run was making headlines in the trade press for the intensity of its performances in concert.
Luckily, the album Dark Eyes, released earlier this year, confirmed first impressions. Half Moon Run shows a rare level of maturity for its age, and its polished atmospheric pop has grabbed the attention of the indie world, especially for singer Devon Portielje, whose voice brings Thom Yorke (Radiohead) to mind.
The trio is on a roll. But first, they're playing the Festival. Be there!
