Malian folk-blues remains in good hands despite the death of its greatest representative, Ali Farka Touré, in 2006. Even though Sidi Touré isn't related to the late guitarist, he is seen as one of his most worthy heirs.
Last year, Sidi Touré's music expanded beyond Mali with the release of his great album, Sahel Folk, which gave music lovers worldwide a taste of his sensitive style and authentic music. He comes to Québec with his latest album, Koïma, which confirms his talent. Expect a richly nuanced and deeply emotional performance.
