The eight musicians that make up Canailles met during a jam in Parc La Fontaine where they discovered their shared love of folk, bluegrass, Cajun and blues. An 8-song EP soon followed, putting Canailles in a class of their own on the Québec music scene. Their first official album, Manger du bois (!), was released in early April.
The band's Facebook page says,“As long as you don't use the word ‘festive’ to describe us, we're OK.” But it's so tempting... let's just say that Canailles is going to show you a good time!
