Hey Rosetta! had a great year in 2011. The band from St. John's Newfoundland made its name from coast to coat with Seeds, a Polaris Music Prize finalist. This was the second of the band's three albums to be nominated for this award.

Hey Rosetta! plays an indie rock that puts you in mind of Arcade Fire or Snow Patrol in their more melodious moments. The superposition of quiet violins and cellos and stronger guitars creates a sound that is at once immense and nuanced. Exactly the kind of music that true music fans love to discover!
