This New York duo caused a mini tidal wave in the indie pop world last year with the release of their self-titled album. It was named one of the top 50 albums of the year in 2011 by the prestigious emerging music webzine Pitchfork.
With arrangements similar to the girl group albums Phil Spector produced in the 60s, Cults stands out from the crowd with that kind of fresh sound and irresistible melodies that appeals to a broad public. In concert, Madeline Follin (vocals) and Brian Oblivion (guitar and percussion) are backed by three musicians to give their songs even more punch. As if they needed it!
