Reggae bands are pretty rare in Québec, even though the genre is so popular. But luckily, we have The Beatdown!
Veterans of the Montreal underground scene, The Beatdown played pretty much all over the world with the likes of Slackers and the Planet Smashers before bringing out their first self-titled album in 2010. On tap: 12 variations on powerful reggae, spiced up with ska, delivered punk-style. Taken to the tenth power in concert, The Beatdown has earned is reputation as a first-rate “party band”.
