Tango Boréal is a trio made up of Denis Plante, bandoneón, David Jacques, guitar, and Ian Simpson, double bass. In co-presentation with the Musée de la civilization, Tango Boréal offers Tangopéra, a show filled with surprises, with Marilyn Grenier, soprano and Marc Duguay, tenor. This trio promises to delivers virtuoso performances punctuated by hilarious comments. Their repertoire bounces lightly between Latin-inspired pieces and original compositions where Piazzola meets Debussy. This Québec trio has earned a Prix Opus for “Best world music” and has performed through Canada, Europe, and in India.
