Since 1980, Le Dixieband has excelled at bringing back the warm sound and explosive rhythms that traditional New Orleans-style jazz is famous for. This lively band of experienced musicians is famed for its remarkable mastery of a unique repertory played in the purest tradition of the genre.
Made up of six players (banjo, trombone, clarinet, trumpet, drums and sousaphone), Le Dixieband is known for its musical quality and the tone of its arrangements. Not to mention its upbeat humour and verve, powerful delivery and snappy costumes. On its three discs, Le Dixieband pays a vibrant tribute to this colourful, catchy music of the 20s that everyone loves to discover or rediscover.
