Like father, like son: Ziggy Marley, son of the immortal Bob, has followed an admirable trajectory since the late '80s, when he first came to prominence with the Melody Makers. A seasoned reggae-man, prominent activist and part-time actor, he also finds the time to host a radio show... and to perform onstage: in his very first visit to the Festival, Ziggy treats us to such classics as
Tomorrow People, along with tracks from his most recent release,
Wild and Free. Opening the evening: Inword lay claim to the heritage of the greatest names in reggae, all the while opening their sound up to soul and Afrojazz influences: it's the ideal cocktail to scorch the dancefloor!
