Created in a summit meeting between cellist Eric Longsworth (making an eagerly-awaited 5th visit), kora player Chérif Soumano and singer-percussionist Jean Luc Di Fraya, the World Kora Trio take a most creative polycultural approach to world. Moved by a common desire for discovery and musical give-and-take, these three musicians from different backgrounds forge a single musical sensibility to create a fine and moving music, gliding between tradition and modernity. A lovely and skillful demonstration of world music, guided by a spirit of exploration.
