The first is a star saxophonist who started out with Dizzy Gillespie. The second is a renowned trumpeter influenced by the immortal Miles Davis. The third is a celebrated vibraphonist we've enjoyed with the SF Jazz Collective. Together, they are a super trio of young talents (accompanied by a 4-piece rhythm section) reunited for Cuban groove/post-bop/jazz project Ninety Miles, the onstage version of an album conceived in Cuba by Sánchez and Harris with Christian Scott, replaced here by Payton for this tour.
